Satyr Tragopan (Tragopan satyra)
Can’t pronounce satyr? Just call it the crimson horned pheasant instead. That’s right, it has blue horns that engorge, along with this crazy thing called a lappet that pops out of his neck when he’s trying to find a lady friend. Largest of the pheasants, they’re classified as Near Threatened by the IUCN. Spending their time in the rhododendron forests of eastern Himalayas frolicking in the bamboo. I was surprised to find them available for sale online, but they sound relatively easy to keep if they don’t get too hot. You can watch a flirty male put his show on here:
Soft and lightweight, pre-shrunk, 100% combed cotton.
