Flying Lemur (Galeopterus variegatus)
Also known as colugos since the common name flying lemur is a big lie. They’re not lemurs and they don’t fly (in the traditional bird way). These Southeast Asian tree dwellers can glide over 300 feet in a single jump thanks to their massive skin flaps and light-as-a-feather skeletal system. They even have tiny little teeth that look like miniature combs. Watch them glide effortlessly:
