Common Angel Shark (Squatina squatina)
Big shout out to the demersal (bottom scraping) fisheries for taking this previously widespread shark to critically endangered levels. Looking kind of like a ray, angel sharks enjoy quiet day time naps in the sand, waiting until night to open its conveniently located eyes that poke out of the sand to pounce on prey.
