After stopping at California Carnivores and Lone Pine Gardens a few weekends ago, we checked out Sonoma Horticultural Nursery. Never have I seen so many rhododendron and azaleas in one place. It’s pretty crazy. We’ll have to go back in early spring for the full flower show. I bet it’s amazing. There are trails all around the nursery that take you over bridges, around ponds and through redwood groves. Thank you Laura Schaub (Interleafer) for the quick tweet about this find!
I love these orange flowers! This is a flower I wouldn’t mind adding to the garden.
This guy was starting to to develop its dangerous pointy cones. Sadly, my pictures of them all sucked. We’re suckers for anything araucaria
I’d only seen pictures of this funky plant on other garden blogs, and was always intrigued. It’s even better in real life!
When we first moved to SF we had a sickly looking pink abutilon in the backyard that I ripped out pretty quick. I had written them off, but now I see awesome ones all over the place.
