What does Megan like to do on her birthday you ask? Well gardening of course. We have been rearranging a bunch of plants in the garden this past April to make room for some containers.
Megan pulled out some of our Aeonium sp. I cannot be for certain, but think it is an Aeonium canariense.
This succulent garden space is still relatively new and many plants are still small. Until they get a little bigger, we are putting a container here to add some height.
Here is a peek at some of the containers in our garden. The containers are adding a couple functions for us: adding some height and next texture to our garden; keeping the gophers (yep…they’re back) away from our new perennials; and creating a doggie blockade…Max our Border Collie and the new neighbor dog, Marley, love to roughhouse.
Who needs a gym to stay fit, we prefer Garden Yoga…a blend of digging, pruning, and planting combined with extreme stretching to get that last weed without getting poked by the spiny succulents.
Happy Birthday Megan!
