We were wondering around in the Sunset Sunday…actually…we were wandering over to Sloat Garden Center to get some last minute soil and annuals for our weekend garden remodel and came across some fun eclectic garden spaces.
We instantly fell in love with this cute front garden. It was one of those “wow…why didn’t we bring the camera” moments. So we snapped some with the iPhone. This place faces west and it gets sun all day long. Great assortment of Opuntia, Crassula ovata, and Aeoniums displayed here. Nearly every pot was a little different and my guess was collection has been ongoing for some time now.
This variegated Agave (Agave americana sp.) looks grand towering above the Pelargoniums. Most Pelargoniums, sometimes called Geraniums, only require infrequent watering and pair well with succulents. Hey, does anybody know if this the Agave americana marginata or A. americana variegata?
Not the most gorgeous foliage on these poppies…but we were drawn in by those flowers against the sea foam colored stucco.
One more span of Pelargoniums before we hit Sloat. After getting our last minute flats of annuals, we completed our weekend project. Pics to come on those new containers in our garden.
