Nepenthes Adoption

That better be dust on the tendril

I’m embarrassed to admit that we didn’t get to the last SF Succulent and Cacti Society meeting. To be fair, we also visited Ruth Bancroft Garden, Casper Curto’s Garden, Sackhouse Gardens and Maybeck Cottage, and The Dry Garden all in one weekend plus a Plant ID mid-term. Anyways… at the SF Succulent and Cacti meeting the month before we adopted a Nepenthes. It was brought in as a giveaway and I quickly grabbed it. Now it’s flowering! I think that means it’s happy. It a tropical pitcher, but I’m not sure what type. Any guesses?

It’s about 2.5 feet tall. We strung it up the side of our plant stand.

Word on the street is that the Conservatory of Flowers is going to have a Chomp 2 exhibition in May. Hurray for carnivorous plants!
